Terms & Conditions
The terms governing use of the IACAIP certification portal, assessments and credentials.
Last updated: 21 August 2026
1Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and certification portal operated by the International Association of Cybersecurity and AI Professionals ("IACAIP", "we", "us" or "our"), a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (No. 16843978), with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, United Kingdom EC1V 2NX. By registering an account, applying for a certification, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2Definitions
- Certification means any individual or organisational certification offered by IACAIP against the IACAIP Shielded Framework®.
- Assessment means any examination, case study, portfolio, interview, audit exercise or organisational conformity assessment forming part of a Certification.
- Credential means any certificate, designation or public registry listing issued upon successful completion of a Certification.
- Candidate means an individual or organisation applying for or holding a Certification.
- Framework means the IACAIP Shielded Framework®, a proprietary assurance framework owned by IACAIP.
3Eligibility & Enrolment
You must provide accurate, complete and truthful information when registering an account or applying for a Certification. IACAIP reserves the right to refuse or cancel an application where information is found to be false or misleading, or where an applicant does not meet the published eligibility requirements for a given Certification.
Access to assessment materials is granted only after any applicable fee has been paid in full and the application has been accepted. Purchasing a Certification does not guarantee a pass or the award of a Credential.
4Assessment Conduct
Candidates must complete Assessments honestly and independently, unless a component expressly permits collaboration or AI assistance. Any of the following constitutes assessment misconduct and may result in disqualification, voiding of results, revocation of Credentials and a ban from future Assessments:
- Impersonating another person or allowing another person to sit an Assessment on your behalf;
- Plagiarism, unauthorised collaboration, or use of prohibited materials or tools;
- Sharing, reproducing or disclosing assessment questions, scenarios or model answers;
- Falsifying evidence, references, employment history or professional experience;
- Attempting to improperly influence an assessor, moderator or panel member.
Where a Certification permits AI assistance, candidates must disclose such use in accordance with the stated AI assistance policy for that Certification.
5Credentials & Public Registry
Credentials are issued at IACAIP's sole discretion following successful completion of all required Assessment components and any moderation or panel review. Credentials remain the property of IACAIP and are granted subject to the conditions of the relevant Certification.
Candidates may opt to display a valid Credential on the IACAIP Shielded Registry. IACAIP may suspend, revoke or remove a Credential or registry listing where a Credential is obtained improperly, expires, is not renewed, or where continued certification would bring IACAIP into disrepute.
6Intellectual Property
The IACAIP Shielded Framework®, the IACAIP name and logo, assessment materials, rubrics, model responses and all content on this site are owned by IACAIP and protected by intellectual property laws. Candidates may not reproduce, publish, distribute or commercialise any assessment content or Framework material without prior written consent.
Candidates retain ownership of their own submissions, but grant IACAIP a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use submissions for the purposes of assessment, moderation, quality assurance and verification.
7Fees & Payment
Fees for Certifications and Assessments are published on the relevant pages of this site and are payable in full before access is granted. Payments are processed securely through Base44 Payments. By submitting payment, you authorise the charge for the stated amount.
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Please refer to our Payment & Refund Policy for full details.
8Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IACAIP shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising out of your use of the site or services, or the outcome of any Assessment. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9Changes to Terms & Certifications
IACAIP may update these Terms, Certification requirements, assessment formats and fees from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users where practicable. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10Termination
IACAIP may suspend or terminate access where a Candidate breaches these Terms, engages in misconduct, or where a Credential is revoked. Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms cease immediately.
11Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
